In maths today we wanted to know how many bodies would cover a shape. We had to draw a shape using chalk and then we had to estimate how many people we thought would fit in our shape. We had to check by lying down next to each other so we could work out how many people it took to cover the shape.

Feilding High School Visit


On Tuesday the 27th of July the Junior Team went to Feilding High School. We went to see some students rehearshing.

Lights Action Camera!!!

Term 3 Inquiry is based around our Production later this term. Yesterday we got together with Room 15 and looked at Youtube videos and explored with musical instruments, costumes puppets and dance. We had lots of fun!!!

Room 20 has a new teacher for Term 3!!! Her name is Mrs McKeagg. She is looking forward to being back at North Street School and working with all the lovely children in the Junior Team!

Inquiry questions we have come up with the children

How do we make wee's?
Asti- Coke, water, juice.
Hamish- By drinking, we drink milk and juice, lemonade and coke.
Amanda- Drink water.
Matthew- Drink water, lemonade.
Jermaine- Drink lemonade, food, water.

Do we have any other organs in our body?
Bailey-Yes, brain, heart, oesophagus, small intestine, large intestine.
Jaydon-Yes, liver, bladder, blood, heart.
Corin-Large intestine, small intestine.
Mitchell-Yes.

Why does your heart pump your blood?
Max-Maybe because the blood needs to go to places around our body.
Logan-Because you need some blood to help you survive.
Rawanui-It pumps my blood so i can stay alive.
Charlize-Because so you can breathe.
Keontae-It pumps the blood out to get through my lungs.

How does the blood help you survive?
Samara-It helps you walk.
Jayden-It helps your heart to live.
Maia-It helps you to walk and to always stay alive.
